Double the Fun ~PDF -made with one layer cake

This pattern was created to use with any layer cake in my store. This body of the quilt was made using one- 25 square layer cake finished size 45 x 45 without additional border. Additional fabric is needed for the borders, binding, backing and batting. Size with border is approx. 45 x 60. This sample quilt was made using a flannel layer cake with a blue minky. I love the extra texture the minky provides and it wasn't difficult to work with. This is a great pattern to use for any layer cake sold with die cut appliques. You can also make this quilt without appliques. Just cut all the pieces as directed.
Supplies you need:
• Sewing machine
• 1 layer cake
• Thread
• 1/2 yard of neutral fabric for border
• 1/4 yard each of 2 contrasting prints (for border)
• extra yardage for backing, binding and batting.
• rickrack -2 packages
• cutting mat and rotary cutter
