I have washed it once to start the ragging process, which will only get prettier with each washing. Please be aware new rag quilts will shed until they have been washed 2-3 times. This is truly a unique and beautiful quilt. I know you will be pleased. All quilts and clothing are stored and made in my smoke and pet free studio. (My home is also smoke free). Rag quilts are easy to care for. Machine wash on gentle cycle using cold water and a good color preserving detergent.
